Martin Corey is a Republican from Lurgan, Co.Armagh. Since April 2010 he has been locked away in Maghaberry Gaol, Co. Antrim. Exactly why Martin was arrested is unknown. He has not been given a trial nor a real reason as to why he was arrested. The only reason the RUC/PSNI have given is that he is "a threat to security".
This amounts to nothing more than internment. He is being held hostage by those who maintain an unjust armed occupation over Ireland's six-north eastern counties.
This year veteran republican Marian Price was also arrested and thrown into Maghaberry Gaol, she is the only female in that prison and is currently in isolation and in poor health.
The British government has not changed one iota of its treatment of Irishmen and women who seek the freedom of Ireland.
These un-purchased republicans are being held hostage by the British Government because of their political beliefs, all who believe in justice and equality must demand their immediate release.
Republican Sinn Féin Westmeath along with our comrades throughout Ireland and indeed Europe have been working towards bringing down the wall of censorship that has been erected in order to suppress the reality of how the imperialist occupier treats the people of Ireland who show any kind of discontent towards the loss of national sovereignty.
